Liverpool FC have officially confirmed two Premier League fixtures in August have been rescheduled for TV coverage.

After a period of mourning and careful consultation with players and staff, Arne Slot’s squad reconvened at the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby this Tuesday.

Liverpool will officially kick off their 2025/26 pre-season with a trip to Deepdale to face Championship side Preston North End on Sunday 13 July (kick-off 3:00 pm BST).

But ahead of the first pre-season game, the club has confirmed that the away game against Newcastle United was initially set for Saturday, 23 August 2025, but has now been moved to Monday, 25 August 2025, with kick-off at 8:00 pm BST.

Meanwhile, the home clash with Arsenal, originally scheduled for Saturday, 30 August 2025, will now take place on Sunday, 31 August 2025, starting at 4:30 pm BST.

The club communicates on official channels:

“The Reds’ trip to St. James’ Park and Anfield encounter against the Gunners will now take place on the following dates, both broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK:

“Newcastle v Liverpool – Monday August 25 (8pm BST).”

“Liverpool v Arsenal – Sunday August 31 (4.30pm BST).”

It is certainly tough games to navigate in the opening month of the season.

The other game in August is Liverpool’s Premier League opener vs AFC Bournemouth at Anfield on the 15th.

After the first international break, the Reds resume their schedule with a trip to Turf Moor to take on Burnley on September 13, before returning to Merseyside for a highly anticipated derby against Everton at Anfield on September 20.

Rounding out this challenging opening sequence, Liverpool head to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace on September 27.
