Judah Mintz, Cole Swider help teams win close games in NBA Summer League

Syracuse, N.Y. - Judah Mintz scored 26 points, including a game-winning and-1 to lead Philadelphia to a 91-90 win over Memphis Tuesday in the Salt Lake City NBA Summer League.

Mintz was 9-of-15 from the floor and 8-of-9 from the free throw line. He made a runner, then sank a free throw to give the Sixers a 91-87 lead with 8.2 seconds left in the game.

The former Syracuse point guard had three assists, three steals and three turnovers.

In his last two games, Mintz has averaged 23.5 points.

Philadelphia, playing without its top 2025 draft pick V.J. Edgecombe, who is out with a thumb injury, won its first game of Summer League. It now heads to Las Vegas.

In the California Summer League, Cole Swider scored 15 points to help Los Angeles beat San Antonio, 89-88.

Swider was 2-for-9 from the 3-point line Tuesday, but he has been solid shooting the ball in the Lakers’ three games in California. He was 8-for-13 from that distance in Los Angeles’ previous two games and averaged 22 points on 70% overall shooting.

Swider had four rebounds, two steals and three blocks in Tuesday’s game. Los Angeles finished 2-1 in the California series.

The Lakers, too, will now head to Las Vegas for more Summer League action.
