Dan Orlovsky Shares First Post After Multi-Year Agreement With ESPN

Dan Orlovsky is staying put on ESPN after several months of rumors and speculation regarding his future with the company.

After a 12-year NFL career, in which he played 26 games (started 12) with the Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and recorded 298 completions on 512 pass attempts, 3,132 yards, 15 touchdowns and 13 interceptions, Orlovsky started his broadcasting career.

Orlovsky's career has panned out better than expected. He is an Emmy-nominated analyst, working on multiple shows on the network, including "NFL Live," "Monday Night Football" and "Get Up," among others.

Seven years after he first joined the company, Orlovsky is one of the most well-respected analysts in the industry, making him an attractive candidate to other media networks.

ESPN's press room X account shared the news about Orlovsky, breaking down his weekly appearances.

The retired quarterback responded with a short but strong message to express his excitement about returning to the "worldwide leader."

As part of his duties for the 2025 NFL season, Orlovsky will team up with Louis Riddick and Chris Fowler in the five weeks ESPN produces multiple games in the same week. This role will commence in Week 2, when the Los Angeles Chargers visit the Las Vegas Raiders, and will continue in Weeks 4, 6, 7 and 18.

Before making the jump to the NFL, Orlovsky was a college football game analyst for many seasons.

Big names such as former Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt and fellow analysts Steve Wyche of NFL Network and John Clark of NBC Sports sent messages on X.
