Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson have been mainstays of FOX's NFL coverage over the last several years. The two also began their careers at Fox Sports before going elsewhere and then returning.
Now, it looks like they'll be sticking around a little longer. On Tuesday night, Front Office Sports reported that FOX has agreed to "lucrative" contract extensions with both women prior to the 2025 NFL season.
Andrews' contract expired at the end of the 2024 season, but FOX had no intentions of letting one of its top sideline reporters leave. Andrews, 47, has been the network's lead sideline reporter since 2014, and she works alongside Tom Rinaldi in that role on FOX's main weekly broadcasts.
"I think my goal is always kind of the same as last year," Andrews said prior to the 2024 NFL campaign. "Enjoy it, because it's not going to last forever, especially when your contract is up - and mine is."
Obviously, Andrews isn't going anywhere. Neither is Thompson, her close friend and podcast partner on the "Calm Down" show they've co-hosted since 2021.
Thompson, 43, also got her start at Fox Sports, and currently hosts FOX's NFL Kickoff pregame show on Sundays, along with Amazon Prime's Thursday Night Football pregame program.
"No, I'm not leaving FOX. I was never leaving FOX," Thompson said on "Calm Down" earlier this year. "I don't know where this took on a life of its own, where I was hosting my family at the ranch for the past weekend. Four of my family members asked, 'Well, the place looks great. How are you going to afford it now that you don't have a job?'"
Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season will begin Thursday, Sept. 4, with the first Sunday slate taking place that weekend on Sept. 7.
