Hoffenheim midfielder Anton Stach is seen as a vital component to Leeds United’s 2025/26 plans in midfield next season.
Leeds United are in search of additions and the giant Anton Stach could be a part of a double Leeds midfield deal imminently.
Graham Smyth believes Stach is a ‘prime candidate’ target of Leeds following our initial suggestion that Leeds should be eyeing a deal for Stach this summer.
Leeds fans are ‘moved’ at the Stach links so far. A giant and powerful midfielder, Leeds supporters convinced Stach will be a success over Habib Diarra or Noah Sadiki.

Hoffenheim name their Anton Stach asking price to Leeds
Spotted in Hoffenheim training recently, Stach and Leeds are yet to seal an agreement amid claims Stach is “considering” a switch to Leeds.
The other thing to resolve is the price, with one report from March stating that the Hoffenheim midfielder will cost Leeds a maximum of £17 million.
German outlet Bild report that Hoffenheim have set an asking price of over €20 million for Stach, who is beginning to attract further interest.
That would be at least £17 million as opposed to a maximum of that price. The report also states Hoffenheim have yet to receive any sort of offers for Stach, but the window has only just opened.

It’s also claimed that Hoffenheim would prefer to keep Stach heading into this season, but if a club does show an interest in him, the Bundesliga outfit will demand “over €20 million for the midfielder”.
The rationale for the increase since March is that they know players of similar quality have already been sold for more in recent windows.

What is the best role for Anton Stach if he joins Leeds?
He works best as a box-to-box or defensive midfielder but he has deputised as a central defender on occasion as well. Leeds would utilise him as a number-eight or number-six in this scenario.
His availability is outstanding, with Stach having played 29 games or more in each of his four Bundesliga campaigns in a variety of different roles. The German top flight has 34 league fixtures in a season.

Anton Stach’s career stats (all comps)
His sheer frame and size could help raise the floor of Leeds’ team, while he is technically secure enough to be a ceiling-raiser for this team as well.
Leeds would utilise him as either a box-to-box player in a 4-3-3 or as one of a double-pivot in a 4-2-3-1. However, he could also operate as a centre-back in an emergency situation.
Getting the most out of his ability to break up play and then drive with the ball by carrying it into attacking areas is absolutely paramount for Daniel Farke.
