Bayern set Diaz limit and won’t pay Liverpool’s asking price

Luis Diaz is wanted by both Barcelona and Bayern Munich this summer and speculation about his future is continuing to swirl.

The latest update comes from report Christian Falk who claims that - [just like Barca](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2025/7/7/24462877/barcelona-to-make-new-approach-for-luis-diaz-after-nico-williams-snub) - Bayern won’t reach Liverpool’s asking price for the forward.

[Liverpool are said to be adamant they won’t sell for less than £70 million (€82m)](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2025/7/9/24463878/liverpool-not-budging-on-luis-diaz-price-as-barcelona-and-bayern-eye-transfer) \- a price that Bayern won’t get near.

Falk says that Bayern won’t pay more than €60m (£51.6m) plus possible bonuses for Diaz and will also hold off making any move for the time being out of respect to Liverpool following the tragic loss of Diogo Jota.

As for Diaz, he has said once again this week that he’s talking to other clubs, but no decision has been made.

“We’re there, negotiating. We’ll see what can be achieved, for us and for the club. We’ll try to do our best and make the best decision,“ he told Colombian influencer Mauricio Gomez.

“We’re in the process of negotiations, talking with the club, with Liverpool, with everyone who’s approaching us. But I’m very calm where I am, you know, very happy. Trying to make the best decision now.”
