While Nottingham Forest wait to learn which European competition they will be playing in next season, the club have been told of Premier League fixture changes caused by their involvement.
The Reds have qualified for the Europa Conference League after a superlative 2024/25 domestic campaign. But they could yet be promoted to UEFA’s second tier competition, the Europa League, if complications around multi-club ownership rules involving FA Cup winners Crystal Palace are upheld.
However, regardless of what competition Forest end up playing, two of their Premier League fixtures in August have been moved because of European involvement - and live broadcasting by Sky TV.
With the Reds due to be involved in UEFA Conference League play-off ties taking place on August 21 and August 28, their domestic games against Palace and West Ham now have different dates and kick-off times.
It means that Forest’s match at Selhurst Park will now take place on Sunday, August 24, kicking-off at 2pm, and be shown live on Sky Sports.
Their home match with the Hammers the following weekend will now take place on Sunday, August 31, against starting at 2pm and being shown by Sky.
Forest hope to learn later this week whether their entry to the Conference League has been confirmed or that Palace have been barred from the Europa League and they have been promoted in the Londoners’ place.
Ticket ticket information for both fixtures has yet to be announced.
