Aston Villa appear to be growing tired of claims they’re set to make a €50m offer for Ferran Torres, with the idea now being completely rejected.
That’s [according to Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20250709/1002497341/verdad-inexistente-oferta-aston-villa-ferran.html), who report that Aston Villa have not offered Barcelona €50m for the forward according to reports from the Catalans and Villa themselves.
The newspaper explains that while the transfer market and rumours are talking of another big from Aston Villa, worth €50m, the reality is that Unai Emery’s side have not even considered signing Torres or made a formal proposal to do so.
Similarly, Barcelona have not received any calls for Torres, and he has no intention of leaving this summer either. The latter point was also made clear in reports on Wednesday morning.
Sources for Mundo Deportivo have made it clear that there is no Aston Villa interest in the player and they are dismissing everything as false. That’s a line being echoed by sources at Barcelona.
They insist that there’s been no offer, no confirmation of it, nor are they considering his departure. Furthermore, Hansi Flick is counting on the Valencian forward this season and wouldn’t want to see him depart either.
Thus, the whole notion can be put to bed as far as they are concerned, with it insisted in Spain that the idea is nothing more than English newspapers reporting falsehoods.
