West Ham United are reported to have agreed a deal with Tottenham for the sale of Mohammed Kudus.
The Ghanaian forward has been the subject of negotiations between the two parties for the last week or so and according to writer David Ornstein, a deal has finally been struck.
The north Londoners will pay a fee in the region of just £55million for the 24-year-old, for whom West Ham paid his former club, Ajax, just under £39million in August 2023.
A surprisingly low figure perhaps, given that West Ham were advising clubs they were seeking around £85million for Kudus back in June, news of the deal has unsurprisingly been greeted negatively by most Hammers fans sharing their thoughts via the KUMB forum and other areas of social media this evening.
Kudus, who scored just 13 goals for the Hammers during his two season in Stratford becomes the first player West Ham have sold to their nearest Premier League rivals since parting company with former skipper Scott Parker 14 years ago.
Profit of doom?
News of the transfer follows a stark warning issued earlier this week by a Ghanaian prophet, who suggested his compatriot's career could be ruined should he join a club that wears either blue or white shirts, or a combination of both.
Clement Testimony, who claims to have had predictive visions regarding events involving football said: "By God's grace, I have been led to give prophecies about this younger brother of mine, and all that I said in the past, which he obeyed, has come to pass.
"So, I hope he takes this one too. Please tell Kudus not to wear a blue or white jersey next season, lest his career be thwarted. If he wears the blue jersey, I saw multiple injuries that would cut his football career short in the first year, sadly."
