Liverpool could lose star winger Luis Diaz this summer if they don't offer him a suitable-enough contract to remain at Anfield, according to reports - and although major European clubs are circling for the rapid wide man, they could be tempted to sell for a fee of around £69million if such an offer lands in their inbox before the end of the summer transfer window.
Diaz, who turned 28 in January, enjoyed his best individual season yet for the Reds, scoring 17 goals in all competitions as they ran away with the Premier League title after a five-year hiatus from winning England's biggest trophy. But a breakdown in contract talks could open the door for other Champions League clubs to make a move - and their asking price has been revealed in what could be a whirlwind summer at Anfield with Darwin Nunez also expected to leave.

Luis Diaz in action for Liverpool
The report by Sky Sports Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri states that although Diaz is an 'integral part' of Arne Slot's plans, and a 'key element' of his side, Diaz believes that he isn't being paid fairly for what he brings to the club.
Earning a salary 'significantly lower' than Mohamed Salah's, the Egypt star's contract extension has sparked a desire for a raise from the former Porto hero. Believing that he's performed just as well as Salah this season, Diaz could now move to an interested club who can offer him the salary he thinks he is deserving of.

Barcelona appreciate Diaz, and have met with his representatives in recent weeks to explore a deal - and although Liverpool have made it clear to the Blaugrana that they have no plans to sell, alongside opening their own talks with Diaz's entourage, it's thought that they will sell for a fee of €80million (£69million) if such a bid is tabled.
The Reds are aware that Diaz may not perform as well on the pitch if he's not mentally ready in a financial sense, whilst Bayern Munich may also be in the race to sign him, having offered Diaz double the salary that he is currently earning on Merseyside - with earlier reports stating that the Colombian has 'agreed terms' with the Bundesliga champions.
Liverpool believe that of the interested duo, only Bayern can afford the £69million fee, and in the process of uncertainty by the Colombian winger, they could offer him suitable terms to put an end to any paper talk once and for all.
