Man United have been given an update on Viktor Gyokeres
have been handed hope over after the latest update in negotiations between Arsenal and Sporting Clube de Portugal.
United have been consistently linked with Gyokeres throughout the summer, with the Manchester Evening News understanding that signing a new striker remains a top priority. The club have already strengthened their attack with new No.10 's arrival whilst a deal is still being worked on to sign Brentford's .
Gyokeres, who seemed destined fora move to , may now have to look at alternatives if the latest reports are to be believed. Talks between Arsenal and Sporting are said to have stalled after a meeting, due to differences in overall valuation and contract terms.
Sporting are reportedly holding out for €70million (£60m) guaranteed, with no add-ons. Arsenal's offer is believed to be €65m (£56m) plus €15m (£13m) in add-ons.
The gap between Gyokeres' valuation and Arsenal’s offer is believed to be around €5m (£4m). According to , Arsenal are willing to walk away from negotiations with Gyokeres and his representatives, 'fearing the worst.'
Meanwhile, has reported that Gyokeres will consider a 'worst-case scenario' loan move for the upcoming season. Juventus andFenerbahce are reportedly monitoring the Swede striker's situation.

United could now look to make a move for the talisman following the breakdown in Arsenal’s negotiations.
