Manchester United have refused to rule out the possibility of lowering their demands and selling Jadon Sancho for an even more significant loss if they have been unable to sanction his exit from Old Trafford heading into the final weeks of the summer transfer window, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.
The Red Devils forked out £73million when they landed the England international from Borussia Dortmund in July 2021, but he has struggled to rediscover the form he enjoyed in the Bundesliga and head coach Ruben Amorim has been aiming to cash in as he seeks to increase his budget for reinforcements.
Matheus Cunha has been Manchester United's most expensive acquisition since ending the 2024/25 campaign without European qualification or silverware, with the Brazilian completing a £62.5million switch from Wolverhampton Wanderers, but there is a desire to also offload members of the squad who have been deemed surplus to requirements.

Manchester United are set to consider selling Sancho for a cut-price fee as low as £15million if they continue struggling to find a buyer willing to meet their valuation, according to GMS sources, and Juventus have secured further clarification on the terms needed to get the deal over the line.
The winger has made it clear that he is prepared to take a major wage cut in order to facilitate a switch to the Serie A heavyweights, due to being desperate to walk away from Old Trafford, but there is still work to be done before he is handed the opportunity to embark on a fresh challenge in Turin.
GMS sources have been informed that Juventus are discussing whether they should gamble on Sancho, who enjoyed a productive loan spell with Chelsea during the 2024/25 campaign, as there is a feeling behind the scenes that acquiring his services will pay off if he manages to recapture his best form.
Jadon Sancho's statistics for Chelsea this season
The 25-year-old is among the highest-paid members of the Red Devils' squad, thanks to being on a contract which allows him to pocket £300,000-per-week, leading to Amorim and influential figures remaining determined to get him off their books before the summer transfer window slams shut on September 1.
Juventus are adamant that Sancho was among the world's top five players in his position when he joined Manchester United, GMS sources have learned, resulting in there being a serious temptation to offer a permanent route out of Old Trafford after Chelsea opted against keeping him beyond his loan stint.

GMS sources have been told that Manchester United are currently seeking a minimum of £20million for Sancho and would prefer to oversee a cash deal at this stage, leading to them not showing interest when Juventus initially proposed sending Douglas Luiz in the opposite direction to Old Trafford.
Chelsea opted against taking advantage of their initial obligation to purchase the former Borussia Dortmund fan favourite at the end of his loan, despite boss Enzo Maresca describing him as 'special', and that has left the door ajar for other interested parties to pounce as he is not in Amorim's plans.
Juventus will look to tie Sancho down to a five-year contract in an attempt to spread the costs if they manage to reach an agreement with Manchester United, GMS sources understand, and they will attempt to land him for less than his price tag as there is confidence that they are not facing stiff competition from other admirers at this stage.
