Report: Elliot Anderson’s pal made available to sign for just £20m after Nottingham Forest…

Nottingham Forest will be going in search of a number of players this summer, with Anthony Elanga set to sign for Newcastle.

The Reds will now need a host of new forwards, with Ramon Sosa also departing the club to sign for Brazilian outfit Palmeiras.

Forest have added Igor Jesus to their ranks so far this summer and have irons in the fire for other players to arrive at the City Ground.

With the season still over a month away from starting, it’s fair to say that there is time on the side of the Reds to get things finalised.

Lots of players have been linked already and now there is news of one summer target For Forest being available for transfer at a bargain price.

Nottingham Forest target James McAtee has new valuation

Forest have been linked with James McAtee this summer, with the Manchester City star now made available for transfer as he searches for regular football.

Fabrizio Romano now claims that McAtee is available for just £20 million this summer, with Pep Guardiola desperately keen to move him on.

The number 10 looks set for a really bright future and he’s currently enjoying a well-deserved break after helping the England under-21 outfit retain their European Championship crown this summer, alongside Forest star Elliot Anderson.

McAtee has made 34 appearances for City so far in his career, scoring seven goals, with the majority of his outings coming either in the cup competitions or from the bench.

Forest could do worse than sign McAtee

This would be a brilliant move if Forest can get the signing of such a talented player over the line this summer.

McAtee at £20 million is a drop in the ocean when it comes to the Premier League and he’d be a long-term successor for Morgan Gibbs-White who will eventually move on.

McAtee will be a very decent player in the future and perhaps more crucially, he would offer Forest some serious strength in depth for European football next season.

Forest might need to move quickly on this one but if a deal for McAtee can get over the line, it could prove to be a very sound investment.
