Wrexham are exploring a number of avenues in order to make their squad as competitive as possible for the upcoming Championship campaign.
Phil Parkinson has hinted at further Wrexham arrivals after revealing that recruitment talks will continue despite the current squad being out in Australia for their pre-season tour.
Wrexham’s 30-man squad for the tour includes the likes of Ollie Palmer and Jacob Mendy, both of whom are likely to leave the Racecourse Ground this summer.
New signings could join Wrexham’s tour if they were completed in time but there is no doubt the Red Dragons need further quality. That could come in the form of an ambitious move for one Newcastle United youngster.

Wrexham should target loan move for William Osula
With Paul Mullin’s departure to Wigan and the fact that Parkinson has told Palmer he can leave the club, Wrexham will be looking to add further attacking options this transfer window.
Modou Faal could be set for a loan move, although he is yet to fully recover from a thigh injury sustained at the back end of last season.
Wrexham could target Callum Wilson following his release from Newcastle United, however, Parkinson would be wise to consider a move for his former teammate.

William Osula joined the Magpies from Sheffield United in August 2024 but found opportunities limited in the Premier League given the form of Alexandre Isak.
As per BBC Sport, manager Eddie Howe described Osula as ‘raw and exciting’ upon his arrival at St James’s Park and his profile would suit Wrexham perfectly.
The Red Dragons want some pace and power to their forward options and Osula would provide this in abundance alongside the likes of Sam Smith and Ryan Hardie.
Wrexham can use William Osula’s enthusiasm to learn to their advantage
Osula has spoken of his relationship with Isak at Newcastle and has used the powerful Swedish striker as a source of learning to improve his own game.
Speaking to Danish outlet Bold, Osula stated: “We ‘connected’ immediately. He’s like my big brother. We both play in attack. We are both from Scandinavia, so it just makes sense. We play a lot of things like table tennis together.”

Although his numbers are not the most eye-catching, at 21 Osula has bags of potential and can learn from the experience around him.
Should Wrexham make a move for the 21-year-old they would be solving a long-term problem of pace in their attack, while acquiring a talent ready to explode in the Championship.
