Draft or Pass? A.J. Brown Fantasy Football Outlook 2025

A.J. Brown dealt with injuries in 2024, finishing as the WR20 for the year. However, he was a top-six fantasy wide receiver in each of the previous two years. Will he return to that form, and what is A.J. Brown’s fantasy football outlook in 2025 as the Philadelphia Eagles look to repeat as Super Bowl Champions?

Fantasy Football Outlook for A.J. Brown

Recent Production

In 13 games played in 2024, Brown saw 97 targets. He caught 67 of them for 1079 yards and seven receiving touchdowns. Even with the injuries, he was still able to top 1000 receiving yards for the fifth time out of six years in his NFL career. Brown was the WR12 in fantasy points per game.

It was a boom-or-bust fantasy season for Brown every week. He had six finishes inside the top eight among wide receivers. However, he only had seven finishes inside the top 30, meaning he had six finishes outside of the top 30, which is a low-end WR3 to FLEX player. He was not getting that many receptions per game. He only had two games with more than six receptions. Compared to the other top fantasy wide receivers, he is not a target hog. However, he does not need many receptions to be successful, having five games of 100+ yards and eight of his thirteen games, he had at least 80 yards.

2025 Outlook

The Eagles had the highest run percentage of any team in the NFL, withover 55% of their plays being run plays. They were one of just three teams to be over 50%. This is what happens when they have an elite running back, Saquon Barkley, and an elite dual-threat quarterback, Jalen Hurts. Look for them to be run-heavy once again in 2025.

Behind Brown, the Eagles have good weapons such as DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. Hurts does not throw the ball enough for all three to have good games in the same week, which leads to the down weeks that Brown had last season.

Brown ADP

According toFantasyPros, Brown is being drafted as the WR10 and the 17th player overall in PPR, non-Superflex leagues. He is being drafted right behind Brian Thomas Jr. and Drake London, while being drafted ahead of Ladd McConkey and Rashee Rice.

In 2022 and 2023, Brown was the WR6 and WR5, respectively, while being the WR12 in PPG last year. Even with the limited receptions, Brown is still very productive in fantasy. WR10 seems to be around his floor this year in fantasy. Brown is one of the best wide receivers in the league, and fantasy managers seem to be undervaluing him going into 2025.

Should You Draft or Pass on A.J. Brown in Fantasy Football 2025?

Brown is a great draft selection at the end of the second round of drafts. He is a safe pick with a very high floor. If he stays healthy, he will be a top ten fantasy wide receiver. Even if he deals with injuries, he should be at least top 15 in points per game. Brown might not be the flashiest pick in fantasy drafts this year, but he has great value at the end of the second round.
