A Kansas City radio host called Patrick Mahomes fat after the three-time Super Bowl champion posted a shirtless 4th of July image, and that comment has made its way to the quarterback’s personal trainer.
The radio host in question, Kevin Keitzman of KCMO, called Mahomes “fat” and an “embarrassment,” and trainer Bobby Stroupe has taken it personally. In a now-deleted tweet, Stroupe went off on Keitzman.
“Send me your location,” Stroupe posted. “You obviously need attention. If you want to see what in shape is – go make it through a practice at [training camp] or run hurry up offense scrambling back to back to back plays. You don’t have a clue what it takes. It’s not a look, it’s a performance.”

Patrick Mahomes Trainer Blasts Radio Host Following Fat Comments
While the response itself might have been a bit much, Stroupe is correct about the criticism being unwarranted. Patrick Mahomes is one of the great all-time talents in NFL history and clearly knows what it takes to compete at a high level against NFL competition. Maybe he doesn’t look like Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, but you don’t need to in order to find success in the NFL. After all, this guy won seven Super Bowls and is widely considered to be the greatest player in the history of the NFL.
This isn’t a JaMarcus Russell, Eddie Lacy, or Kelvin Benjamin situation. Patrick Mahomes routinely scrambles in the backfield and makes defenders miss, and he wouldn’t be able to do that if he were too fat to play at his physical peak.
