Leeds United have addressed key areas of the squad so far, but it looks like there is still a gaping hole somewhere. Three defenders and one center forward have arrived at Elland Road this summer.
Lukas Nmecha is a welcome addition up front; last season Joel Piroe played almost every game of the season and his fatigue brought horrible stretches of form. The Dutchman went nine games without a goal near the end of the season.

Leeds were one of the best defensive sides in the Championship, and Daniel Farke has decided to bolster that with new additions. Jaka Bijol is expected to challenge for a starting spot, while Sebastiaan Bornauw will be a rotation option.
But the Whites are yet to add a midfielder – this is because two of their main targets were snapped up by Sunderland. Leeds held interest in Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki, and both ended up at the Stadium of light.

Noah Sadiki opens up on Leeds United interest
Leeds held talks with Strasbourg over a move for Diarra, but were unwilling to pay the £30million fee.
But it was different with Sadiki, he only held talks with Leeds, but no offer or bid was submitted to Union Saint-Gilloise. The midfielder spoke on this in an interview with Belgian outlet Nieuwsblad:
“Actually, I only talked to the people from Sunderland, Frankfurt and Leeds, who had also made an offer. My choice for Sunderland is also a kind of bet with myself. I want to know how it feels to play in the best league in the world and see where I stand against better teams.”

Another midfielder Leeds are in the market for is Sean Longstaff. As of Tuesday night, the club had submitted a fresh £10million + £2million bid. Newcastle United have rejected the latest bid, as they want a higher fee according to The Times.
The report indicates that ”it remains to be seen” if Leeds come up with another offer. For now, the club has to choose if they bring another offer or move on to other targets.
Who else do Leeds have on their radar?
Anton Stach remains one of the main names rumoured. The Hoffenheim man is a dynamic ball winner that would mesh well with Daniel Farke’s system.

He would benefit from playing alongside Ao Tanaka and Ethan Ampadu.
In a surprised turn of events, Newcastle star Joe Willock popped up as a shock target for Leeds. The midfielder also presents a dynamic midfield option who can carry the ball and add a threat in attack.

Willock can also pop up with goals as well as cover large distances in midfield. He would be a useful option for Leeds.
