DALLAS, Texas. (KCTV) - A second civil trial against Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has been rescheduled for next year.
A civil jury trial stemming from a lawsuit against Rice filed by Kamlesh Desai last year for his role in a six-car crash on a Dallas freeway during Easter weekend in 2024 will now take place in March 2026.
Last week, court records indicated that Rice would go on trial in another civil case on Jan. 20, 2026, as two victims sued him for millions in damages.
Rice’s attorney applied for a legislative continuance in the Desai case and it was granted, moving the civil trial from its originally scheduled date of Tuesday, July 8, 2025, to March 30, 2026.
