Saints legend Jimmy Graham is five days and almost 250 nautical miles into his [rowing voyage](https://www.neworleanssaints.com/news/jimmy-graham-new-orleans-saints-legend-pilots-arctic-challenge-navy-seal-tulane-rowing) across the Arctic Ocean.
Graham and the team of four including Andrew Tropp, Hannah Huppi, and John Huppi, have had to make adjustments to their navigation due to weather conditions and were forced to stop and para-anchor for a time as the winds were pushing the team in an unfavorable way.
Prior to having to anchor, the team was hoping to make the voyage in roughly 12 days according to Hannah Huppi. They've been using two rowers at a time and switching off every 90 minutes.
The Arctic Challenge launched on July 4 and will journey from Tromso, Norway to Longyearbyen, Svalbard, a journey of 1,000 kilometers.
The team is using this effort to help raise money for Covenant House New Orleans and Laureus Sport for Good New Orleans with a goal to raise $1 million, one dollar for every meter rowed across the Arctic Ocean.
"Just wanted to remind everybody why we are out here and to go on the map and donate what you can for the kids," Graham said during the third day of the expedition. "The reason why we are sitting here, suffering so much is to bring opportunities to others so we appreciate the support."
Fans looking to donate or track the team's progress can keep up with the expedition on their website, [thearcticchallenge2025.com](https://www.thearcticchallenge2025.com/).
