On Tuesday, the San Antonio Spurs traded for center Kelly Olynyk, sending Blake Wesley, Malaki Branham, and a future second-round pick to the Washington Wizards.
Olynyk averaged 8.7 points and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 41.8 percent from deep in 44 games last season, split between the Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards. At 6-11, he is one of the better floor-spacing bigs and should be able to share the floor with both Luke Kornet and Victor Wembanyama.
Between Olynyk, Kornet, and Wembanyama, the Spurs have a very well-rounded center rotation, although their playoff hopes still hinge on Wemby being healthy, even with the addition last season of De'Aaron Fox.
As things currently stand, the Spurs have a solid depth chart.

The Spurs still have two open roster spots and can round out their depth in free agency, or they can convert two-way players Riley Minix or Harrison Ingram to standard contract players.
Given how much the Spurs invested in Minix last season despite his nagging injuries, it should be expected that he will be brought in as the 14th or 15th man on the roster.
The Spurs' biggest losses so far in free agency have been Sandro Mamukelashvili, who signed with the Raptors, and Chris Paul, who is still unsigned but has been linked to the LA Clippers, Phoenix Suns, and Milwaukee Bucks.
