TAMPA BAY, Fla. (WWSB) - Baker Mayfield and the Tampa bay Buccaneers will have to begin the upcoming 2025 season without their superstar left tackle.
Tristan Wirfs is expected to miss the start of the regular season because of a knee injury. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday. This coming after originally injuring his right knee last season.
The 26-year-old was Tampa bay’s first-round selection in the 2020 draft, and has appeared in 79 games -- all starts -- during his five-year career.
If he is placed on the physically unable to perform list, Wirfs will miss at least Tampa bay’s first four games.
