The bar for success in 2025 isn't set too high for the New York Jets after the failed Aaron Rodgers era, and that might be a good thing for Aaron Glenn and Co.
With Justin Fields leading an offense short on firepower, Glenn and new coordinator Tanner Engstrand come from the Detroit Lions, where Dan Campbell's team had one of the best run games in football last season.
So, surprise, surprise, the Jets will try to replicate that with Breece Hall, Braelon Allen, and Isaiah Davis, behind a stout offensive line that doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Granted, it's not great, but it isn't bad either.
For NFL.com's Eric Edholm, the Jets have a shot at having a better record than they did a year ago if a couple of things happen.
"The Jets might have a steeper climb under new head coach Aaron Glenn, but they could feature one of the best run games in the NFL," Edholm writes. "If they can control the ball and take a tangible step forward defensively under Glenn's watch, a better record could be in store."

Defensively, it is expected that a level-up under Glenn with Quinnen Williams, Will McDonald, and Sauce Gardner the key pieces, but offensively, there are more question marks.
Can Fields orchestrate the offense to the point where he can manage the game by leaning on the rushing attack and make the odd throw here and there to keep the chains moving?
He has the weapons to do so, with Garrett Wilson the obvious one, and others like Josh Reynolds and Allen Lazard, but it might be all on the offensive line, Hall and Allen to make sure the Jets become the physical unit Glenn wants them to be.
If the defense can show some improvement and the run game gets going, will the Jets win more than five games in 2025? That's quite the conversation starter.
