Jordan Ott, DeMarre Carroll, Phoenix Suns
Things are beginning to look up for the Phoenix Suns, as the dust begins to settle on the Durant trade and the team prepares for the 2025 NBA Summer League season.
In season past where it may have felt as though the Summer League was less enticing, it is clear that Jordan Ott as well as DeMarre Carroll and the players are looking to use it as a foundation-building, tone-setting portion of time.
DeMarre Carroll will be coaching the Summer League portion of it all, and is relishing the opportunity to play an integral piece to that tone they’re desiring to establish.
Carroll, a true extension of Suns head coach Jordan Ott, spoke at length about how much he credits Ott for the role he’s played both in his playing and coaching career, as well as how he’s valued off the floor as a “best friend.”
Gerald and Stephen spent a solid portion of time speaking to that portion, and how important that trust, respect, and rapport established is in boding towards the speed of this Suns “re-tool.”
Aligning with that, we also hear from Ryan Dunn and Oso Ighodaro regarding early assessments of Jordan Ott, the uniqueness and reverence he’s already seemingly established, and how gritty he desires for their team to ultimately be.
Also on the show is Gerald Bourguet’s latest written piece, diving into the relationship and growth between Ott and Carroll in multiple capacities over the years.
Additionally, Gerald and Stephen spend time speaking to all that is Rasheer Fleming, from his prospects as a do-it-all wing/forward, as well as diving into Stephen’s Film Study on Rasheer’s senior year at Saint Joseph’s.
