The transfer business at Arsenal is heating up after the arrival of Martin Zubimendi. The name on everyone's lips is Viktor Gyokeres after the Gunners progressed in talks to sign the Sporting CP talisman.
With just over a month until the Premier League season starts, Mikel Arteta is working to ensure the business is done in time before the curtain raiser against Manchester United. Their pre-season tour is also just around the corner, which sees the window of opportunity narrowing by the day for Arsenal to land their most desired targets.
The pressure is on the Spaniard to ensure that they can mount a successful challenge for both silverware and in the Premier League after falling short in previous years.

Rodrygo set to decide Real Madrid future amid Arsenal links
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Rodrygo will consider his Real Madrid future after another encounter in the cold.
The Brazilian was an unused substitute for the fifth time in a row as Xabi Alonso's side were humbled in a 4-0 defeat to Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain.
Rodrygo faces a big decision regarding his future and the reporter claims that he will now seek clarity on his role within the Spanish giants.
The reporter said: "Over in Real Madrid, tonight Rodrygo is on the bench five consecutive games on the bench for the Brazilian. So from after the Club World Cup, next week, Rodrygo's camp will speak to Real Madrid to clarify the situation this summer.
"Real Madrid will leave everything in his hands so if Rodrygo wants to leave, that's okay so let's see what's going to happen.
"Then Real Madrid will have the right to ask whatever they want in terms of transfer fee, details of the deal, it will be up to Real Madrid.
"Rodrygo will do what we wants to do so we will follow the situation in the upcoming days and weeks because five consecutive times on the bench for a player with the quality of Rodrygo Goes it sounds a strong decision from Xabi Alonso."
football.london says: " It remains an interesting saga at the Bernabeu with Rodrygo unable to play his way into Xabi Alonso's plans. Even trailing 3-0 at half-time, the Los Blancos boss failed to offer him an opportunity in New Jersey with Arda Guler, who has been preferred throughout the tournament, lastig 83 minutes before he was replaced by Lucas Vasquez. Any exertion to leave Madrid could spark a battle from Arsenal and even drive the price down."
Viktor Gyokeres talks 'stall'
The Independent has reported that Arsenal have been handed a setback in their efforts to sign Gyokeres despite offering €10million more than what Sporting CP are demanding.
The Gunners are said to be preparing an offer worth €65million with add-ons amount to €5m and €10m, which would take the overall package to €80m.
But the Portuguese giants want a guaranteed €70m with no add-ons for Gyokeres.
The situation has been likened to the one of Benjamin Sesko where Arsenal came up against RB Leipzig, who drove a hard bargain for the Slovenian which led to the North London club's attention turning elsewhere.
However, there is already tension between Gyokeres and the club he helped with two league titles and a domestic cup - including their double last season.
The suggestion is that he will not return for pre-season and will look to force a move away from the Portuguese capital.
football.london says: " It must feel like groundhog day at the negotiation table for Arsenal and sporting director Andrea Berta. They're coming up against stern negotiators who are looking to land a lofty fee for one of the most prolific strikers in Europe. Arsenal find themselves in a perilous position where they would need to offer more up front as opposed to amortising the deal across the length of the contract, which softens the outlay. But if they want to land their key man there will be important decisions to be made at board level."
