Caitlin Clark has taken the sports world by storm, but apparently the rest of the world still has a good amount of catching up to do.
During the episode of the popular ABC quiz show “Jeopardy!” that aired on Wednesday, a contestant completely embarrassed himself on a clue in the category “Sporty Stuff.” The $800 clue displayed an image of former UConn and current Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers and asked “This UConn star had an intense spring in 2025, playing on her first national championship team and being picked first in the WNBA Draft.”
Contestant Rahul Kak, a law student from New York, buzzed in with “Who is Caitlin Clark?” That was very obviously wrong though, and no other contestant managed to buzz in with the correct response either.
Here is the painful video.

In fairness to Kak, the Indiana Fever superstar Clark is probably the one WNBA player that you should know above all right now, and she was a former No. 1 overall pick herself (albeit in 2024). But Clark does not bear any resemblance whatsoever to Bueckers and famously played her college ball at Iowa instead of at UConn.
Interestingly enough, Clark and Bueckers still have yet to face off at the WNBA level. That could change very soon though with an upcoming matchup between Indiana and Dallas that recently earned itself a notable venue change.
