All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Arsenal as they continue their bid to sign a striker.

Arsenal are now pushing to wrap up the bulk of their transfer business after already getting two incoming deals over the line. The Gunners have already signed Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga, and they are now bidding to add a striker, centre-back and winger to their early haul.

The striker signing is arguably the most important of all, and it seems Arsenal are having plenty of trouble in that department, Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Gyokeres optimism

The Arsenal and Viktor Gyokeres saga continues to rumble on, and we are seeing plenty of different reports emerging from Portugal as the Gunners’ transfer chefs returned from talks in Portugal without having struck a deal.

According to Abola, despite the clubs still disagreeing over the structure of the deal, there is still optimism that the agreement will eventually be reached. They say Arsenal have actually made it clear they are willing to be flexible over the structure of the deal, and there is still confidence that the two sides will come to an agreement when all is said and done.

Sesko latest

Reports in Germany suggest Arsenal are still in talks over Benjamin Sesko over a deal for the RB Leizpig striker despite being in advanced negotiations with Sporting CP over Gyokeres. Chemnitzer Morgenpost have reported: “The 22-year-old remains convinced of the next step, and RB Leipzig is still in negotiations with Arsenal.”

Leipzig are said to want more than £68.9million to sell Sesko this summer, and that looks to be enough to put Arsenal off to the point of chasing Gyokeres instead. But in case those negotiations fall apart, it seems the Gunners could be keeping their options open with Sesko.

Madueke verdict

Arsenal are being heavily linked with a move for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, and pundit Jason Cundy has been speaking about the situation on TalkSport. he said: “I’m a fan of Madueke,He gets a lot of stick from Chelsea fans. I know a lot of Arsenal fans aren’t particularly impressed with what they are signing.

“Here is what I will say. He’s a versatile player, and at the end of last season, Madueke was in Chelsea’s best XI. What he did was he moved from the right to the left, and he was as effective on the left. I like Madueke. I’ll be disappointed to see him leave because of his versatility from the right to the left. With Madueke, I’m disappointed to see him go. I know a lot of Chelsea fans won’t agree with me, but I like him.”

Speaking before Chelsea’s win over Fluminense about Madueke’s situation, Blues boss Maresca said: “[We had] the same noise before the Palmeiras game, and we gave him half an hour and he was very good. I don't have any doubts that if we need Noni, he will help us. I can understand when there is noise around you, it is difficult to deal with that."
