Edgecombe, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft out of Baylor, has been participating in individual on-court workouts and remains under close evaluation by the Sixers’ medical staff. He is expected to be reevaluated on Saturday.

This will mark Edgecombe’s third straight missed game in Summer League play. Earlier this week, he was sidelined with a thumb contusion and was held out of Monday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder and Tuesday’s contest versus the Memphis Grizzlies in Utah.

Philadelphia’s next Summer League game is set for Saturday against the Charlotte Hornets, also in Las Vegas.

Despite the injury setback, Edgecombe had an explosive Summer League debut last weekend against the Utah Jazz, posting a double-double with 28 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks. He shot 13/27 from the field, though struggled from deep, going just 1/7 from three.

A timetable for his return to Summer League action remains uncertain.
