Georginio Rutter was ruthless for Leeds in their 2023/24 Championship campaign.
Despite not being the most clinical, Rutter has carried his fine form into the Premier League as he proves that he is worthy of a top club.
More than 28 percent of Rutter’s passes last season were progressive, the second highest across Europe’s top five leagues, according to The Stats Way.
Now, almost a year after Rutter’s departure, Leeds could have finally found a suitable replacement.

Jeremie Boga could try to finally fill Rutter’s boots
It will be hard for any player to leave the impression that Rutter did at Leeds.
MORE LEEDS STORIES
Supporters would be forgiven for thinking the Frenchman was in fact Brazilian, with everyone at Leeds in awe of his attacking flair.
Jeremie Boga has recently been linked with a move to Leeds.
The OGC Nice winger has had a quiet season in France as injury issues have plagued him.
However, the former Chelsea youngster is very much worth a punt for the Peacocks after gaining an impressive reputation over the years.
In the 2023/24 season, the 28-year-old had more successful dribbles than Lionel Messi and Neymar and was competing at the top of the dribbling leaderboards with Adama Traore, Sofiane Boufal, and Allan Saint-Maximin.
The Ivory Coast international offers versatility in the forward lines as he can play on the left or in attacking midfield for Daniel Farke’s side.
Boga has previously played in Italy for Atalanta and for four years at Sassuolo in a successful spell.
The winger had the highest number of assists per 90 minutes in his final season in Italy, averaging 0.78 assists, above the likes of Premier League ace Kevin De Bruyne (0.56) and Liverpool’s newcomer Florian Wirtz (0.78).
Boga is currently the most exciting forward that Leeds have been linked to as they look to add support for striker Lukas Nmecha.

Boga’s injury problems worth risking
Prior to joining Nice, Boga had missed 43 games in his six previous seasons.
While his numbers don’t match up, his performances have shown that when he is fit, Boga can be unbeatable.
The winger has previously stated himself that football is becoming too much of a numbers game and when you watch him play, you can see what he brings to a team.
He would replicate Rutter’s rapid dribbling and also bring assists to Farke’s side.
As the Peacocks approach the new Premier League campaign, they must ensure that they have a pacy attacking outlet for when they have to sit in a low block, and Boga will do just that.
Farke’s side have done some excellent business this summer, adding significant depth to their defence, and Sean Longstaff is expected to add experience from Newcastle.
The West Yorkshire club are now expected to turn their attention to adding to their attack.
