Despite his struggles of late, David Prutton would retain Harrison but the majority of fans are clear on what his next steps should be, with many Leeds supporters wanting to send Harrison to Rangers after the takeover of the 49ers.
Nothing has yet materialised regarding the winger’s future but Leeds have Willy Gnonto, Dan James, and Largie Ramazani as options out wide for Daniel Farke.

The Jack Harrison latest at Leeds United as club hint at departure
It’s been reported previously byLeeds United News in an exclusive that Leeds could yet retain Jack Harrison this summer and reintegrate him in the same way that Brenden Aaronson and Max Wober have been previously by Daniel Farke.
Of course, in the eyes of many, the choice might be out of their hands, with the winger having a contract until 2028 at Elland Road. Leeds have a ‘problem’ with Harrison in that sense.
The 28-year-old is now an asset without as much value as he did back in 2023, since his performances over the last two seasons on loan, even Everton fans don’t want Harrison to return this summer.
Harrison’s loan clause is no longer active, after two seasons of activating it with his parent club in the Championship. He has been back in pre-season training this week with the club.

However, David Moyes is ‘toying’ with the idea of Harrison returning to Everton this summer. Speaking exclusively to Leeds United News, our transfer expert Graeme Bailey explained the latest following that reveal on Everton.
He said: “Harrison’s future is being discussed. We’ll see what comes of it.
“Everton like him and he did a good job for them. Don’t rule it out, but you know, those wages are an issue, especially with Leeds being promoted again.”
Of course, promotion means a Premier League wage for many of Leeds’ squad and Harrison is on a hefty contract. However, there have been further developments regarding Harrison since our discussion with Bailey.
Max Wober was asked to leave Leeds following the club’s promotion and, although Harrison hasn’t been told in quite so simple terms, it’s been intimated to him and his entourage that it’s in his best interests to move on this summer.

Frank Lampard explains why Leeds could retain Jack Harrison
Harrison is a former teammate of Frank Lampard’s and he could bring vital Premier League experience to Leeds’ squad, with more appearances than any other player in the side.
Talking in a press conference in 2020 as Chelsea boss ahead of facing Leeds, Lampard said on Harrison: “Jack is a million miles from the player he was in New York.
“I hope that doesn’t sound negative in any way because he was a real developing player at that point.
“An absolutely lovely lad. I’ve got so much time for Jack. I keep in touch with him. I actually spoke to him the other day.
“The player he’s developed into at Leeds has been really, really impressive.
“I think he’s playing great football. He’s a threat, two feet, quick, runs, high intensity, and he’s one of their major players in an attacking sense.
“I’m delighted for him and how his career has gone. Of course, we’ll want to sort of nullify that tomorrow. His career has gone in a great direction, and it will continue to.”
