Nottingham Forest’s Ben Perry has left the club to join Colchester United.
The 20-year-old midfielder has been sold for an undisclosed fee, after 11 years in the Reds’ academy.
Craig Mulholland, the club’s head of football development and talent management, said: “We are delighted that another Forest Academy player has achieved a long-term contract in the EFL following their education here at the club.
“Ben has been here since the age of nine and has an attitude which epitomises our Forest values.
“This attitude will ensure that Ben makes the most of his talents and has a long career in the game.
"Everyone at Forest wishes Ben the best of luck in this next exciting chapter and he will always be welcome back at the club.”
Perry has signed a three-year deal with Colchester.
