Fabrizio Romano shares what Arsenal have decided about Eberechi Eze now after bidding for Noni Madueke

Arsenal’s move for Noni Madueke has raised concerns over whether the Gunners will still be able to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.

The Gunners’ priority in this summer’s transfer window has been their attack.

A new striker is what every fan is waiting for, but Mikel Arteta also needs reinforcements out wide. That is why Arsenal have tabled a bid to sign Madueke from Chelsea this summer.

If you’re wondering how this deal will impact Arsenal’s interest in Eze, you aren’t the only one. Fabrizio Romano has the answer.

Noni Madueke move will not affect Arsenal’s pursuit of Eberechi Eze

Arsenal are interested in signing both Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze in this window.

Fans of the Emirates Stadium club aren’t quite sure about the Chelsea winger. Many are struggling to see why Arteta needs him, especially if he is going to cost £50 million.

Once that figure came to light, many supporters began to worry that Arsenal are eyeing a move for Madueke instead of Eze, because both players can play out wide.

Romano has now eased those fears by revealing that the Madueke deal is not related to Arsenal’s interest in Eze — the Gunners remain keen on the Crystal Palace star.

The journalist said in a video on his YouTube channel: “Noni Madueke remains a concrete option for Arsenal, an important target for Arsenal, but separate from the story regarding Eberechi Eze because, obviously, Eberechi Eze remains a target for Arsenal.

“In that case, I told you almost one week ago, Arsenal made contact with the agents of Eberechi Eze. That remains the case.

“Arsenal are speaking to the player. The player is keen on a move to Arsenal. So, Eberechi Eze remains one of the names on the shortlist. But before closing this deal, you need to talk to Crystal Palace, and that’s not an easy point.

“But, for sure, it’s a separate story from Noni Madueke, separate story also from Viktor Gyokeres.”

Signing Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze could end another Arsenal dream

Arsenal entered the summer transfer window with big plans.

Martin Zubimendi has already arrived, as has Kepa Arrizabalaga. Christian Norgaard will sign for Arsenal next, while talks are ongoing to bring Cristhian Mosquera to the club as well.

On top of that, Arsenal are pushing to sign Madueke, Eze and Gyokeres, who will all cost significant money in the coming weeks.

If Arsenal do get both Madueke and Eze, we think that ends their need for a new wide player. That would mean that the Gunners’ dream of signing Rodrygo Goes from Real Madrid will be over.

That is a shame, as every Arsenal fan on the planet would take the Brazilian over Madueke this summer.
