Alejandro Garnacho's Manchester United future is still uncertain. The 21-year-old has been linked with a transfer away from Old Trafford after falling out of favour under Ruben Amorim.

Garnacho was subject to a £60million offer from Napoli in January, but United decided to keep hold and, instead, allowed Marcus Rashford and Antony to join Jadon Sancho out on loan from Old Trafford.

While the Argentina international impressed in patches, he was left out of the starting XI for the Europa League final against Tottenham in May, prompting an angry response from the player.

Since, The Manchester Evening News understands that Garnacho, along with four teammates, has now informed United of his desire to explore different opportunities this summer.

Napoli remain interested in a deal for Garnacho and feel that £45m could be enough to land the winger. Talks between the two clubs are active, and United are hoping to secure a deal before the start of the new Premier League season. The Reds kick-off their campaign against Arsenal in mid-August.

Speculation continues to grow surrounding Garnacho's future, but it hasn't stopped him from working hard and preparing for his next chapter, should he leave United this summer.

In fact, in a video posted on Instagram by Javier Ledesma - a Spanish football and fitness coach - Garnacho was spotted being put through his paces in the gym. The ex-Atletico Madrid youth product was pictured performing high intense lunges with a dumbbell in each hand.

Garnacho looked fit, sharp and prepared to take on his new challenge if a move from United goes through. He scored 11 goals and added 10 assists 58 matches for the Reds last season.

Speaking about his future and frustration, following alack of game-time in the Europa League final, Garnacho said in a statement: "Up until the final I played every round helping the team, and today I play 20 minutes, I don't know.

"The final will influence [my decision] but the whole season, the situation of the club. I'm going to try to enjoy the summer and then see what happens afterwards."
