Manchester United are searching for a head of senior recruitment as part of the club's transfer strategy overhaul.

The new role will involve overseeing the senior scouts and reporting back to Christopher Vivell.

Vivell joined United on a temporary basis last year and was appointed permanently as the director of recruitment in February. He oversees the club's recruitment network and reports to the director of football, Jason Wilcox.

United will also have a regional heads of emerging talent across the main talent pools globally.

Club sources have said the appointments are part of the ongoing restructuring and modernisation of the scouting network at Old Trafford, which has recently been streamlined under Vivell.

United plan to retain significant human scouting and analytical capabilities, particularly focused on emerging talent, with strengthened data support, amid the changes to the network.

Sportsology, a United States-based sports intelligence consultancy, are supporting United on the hires.

The consultancy firm have worked with MLS sides Inter Miami and FC Cincinnati, and NFL franchises such as the San Francisco 49ers, the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams.

United sources have previously said they want Vivell to take ownership of the reduced scouting network after years of poor business in the transfer market.

United's scouting network was once so bloated it was in excess of 100 scouts but dozens have left the club across the two rounds of redundancies over the past 12 months.

Vivell, 38, previously worked at RB Leipzig and Chelsea, where he was the technical director for only six months.
