Wolves are plotting moves for attacking reinforcements this summer, and one of those linked is Colombian attacker Jhon Arias.
In the 2023 and 2024 summer transfer window, Wolves have shown an interest in Jhon Arias from Fluminense, someone who played with Andre during his time at the club.
The Old Gold have continued to monitor his progress at the Club World Cup, where he’s produced a string of incredible performances before being knocked out by Chelsea in the semi-finals.
Though as Vitor Pereira scours the market for a Matheus Cunha replacement, Wolves have held talks with Arias over a possible move to Molineux.
The 27-year-old is valued at around £44 million, making a transfer potentially difficult to complete, though what he’s said on his future should fill supporters with confidence.

Jhon Arias has a ‘dream’ of playing in Europe
Speaking about his Fluminense future after the defeat to Chelsea, Arias admitted that while he will continue to give everything for the Brazilian giants, it’s his ‘dream’ to play in Europe.
“I think everyone knows I’m very transparent and sincere, and like all players, I dream of playing in Europe and reaching the top flight,” he said via Ge Globo.
“But until my last day at Fluminense, I’ll fight and respect the club and the fans. Regarding proposals, that’s up to the management and the president. You never know; the future is open. I’m still here at Fluminense, I have a long-term contract, and I’m happy at the club.”
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Arias only signed a lucrative three-year contract at Fluminense recently, keeping him at the club until June 2028. But, as the aggressive forward dreams of playing in one of the big European leagues, surely he would be tempted by a switch to Wolves.
After all, the Old Gold need a game-changing replacement for Cunha, and since Arias is capable of playing in any role across the front line, he’s someone that would catch Pereira’s eye.
What Arias would bring to Wolves
First and foremost, Arias possesses positional versatility, which means he can operate as a left winger, right winger, attacking midfielder or even as a centre-forward.
Standing at just 5ft 6ins, the Colombian marksman also boasts low centre of gravity, meaning he can use his upper body strength and silky dribbling to maintain the ball in tight spaces.

229 games played
47 goals
55 assists
As seen during his time at the Club World Cup, Arias has devastating acceleration that makes him difficult for defenders to stop and someone who can carve openings at speed.
Finally, with 13 assists in all competitions this year, Arias would provide a quality supply line to the likes of Jorgen Strand Larsen, perhaps forming an incredible partnership.
