Arsenal's move for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres is set to 'collapse imminently' with the Gunners ready to walk away from a deal, according to Portuguese outlet A Bola on Thursday morning.
The Gunners have been locked in talks with the Portuguese giants over the last week to secure a transfer for the Sweden international, but no progress has been made this week after discussions advanced over the weekend.

After weeks of links and talks over deals for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko and Gyokeres, Arsenal made the decision last week to focus on a deal for the Sweden international, who was always director of football Andrea Berta's preferred centre-forward target.
Talks appeared to be advancing before this week, but A Bola report that the north London outfit are about to walk away from negotiations with absolutely no progress made club-to-club from Monday through until today, and no communication at all between the parties since Sunday.

Despite his determination to sign the former Coventry City man, it appears as though Berta is ready to perform a U-turn and give up on signing the prolific 27-year-old, with a 'well-placed source' at Arsenal saying that a collapse of the deal is 'imminent'.
