NBA Media Isn’t Done Yet With Giannis Antetokounmpo, Proposes ‘Realistic’ Trade of Bucks Great…

There are obvious signs that Giannis Antetokounmpo will stay with the Milwaukee Bucks. Explicit should be the word. Bucks also made recent moves that tell they are still invested on their two-time MVP.

However, the media just would not drop their dream of seeing the Greek Freak in another uniform.

Bleacher Report’s Dan Favale thinks there’s still a ‘realistic’ trade out there that one team can pull of to take Antetokounmpo away from Wisconsin. This trade involves seven person, which Favale said will be favorable for Milwaukee in the future.

Atlanta Hawks will receive Antetokounmpo and nothing else. In exchange, they have to let go of the following:

Kobe Bufkin, Jalen Johnson, Zaccharie Risacher, 2026 first-round swap (most favorable of Milwaukee’s own and New Orleans), 2027 first-round pick (least favorable of Milwaukee and New Orleans), 2028 first-round swap (most favorable from Atlanta’s own and least favorable of Cleveland and Utah), 2030 second-round pick

This trade is future-proofing in essence as it does not include players that can keep the Bucks a contender. The biggest issue with them is that the only first round pick they have is in 2031. Their hands are tied and are already in danger of breaking the second apron.

Spurs can make better offer for Giannis Antetokounmpo

The Bucks will probably reject Hawks offer if that those are who are they getting if contending is still on their mind.

Favale has another trade machine. Spurs, who was heavily linked to Giannis last month, giving their future superstars.

The Bleacher Report writer said the follow for the Antetokounmpo:

Harrison Barnes, Dylan Harper, Keldon Johnson, Jeremy Sochan, 2027 first-round pick (via ATL), 2029 first-round pick, Sacramento’s 2030 second-round pick, 2031 first-round pick (most favorable of SAS or SAC), Sacramento’s 2031 second-round pick

This is a much better proposal than that of the Hawks as Harper is perceived as a future superstar while the three other named Spurs are reliable role players.

Too bad for Favale and other teams, Antetokounmpo and the Bucks will continue their relationship.
