Tyreek Hill is still with the Miami Dolphins despite some things said following a Week 18 loss to the New York Jets in the 2023 NFL season.
It can be recalled that the talented wide receiver voiced out his frustration over the Dolphins missing the NFL playoffs, saying that he’s “opening the door,” seemingly hinting at a looming departure from Miami. However, that issue has already been resolved and ironed out, with Hill evenapologizingto quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for his comments.
All that being said, trade rumors have continued to swirl around Hill. Such a talent who had expressed frustration before, and notwithstanding the aftermath of which, will always attract attention.

Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports recently weighed in on the rumors about Hill being with another team by the start of the 2025 NFL season, saying that such a scenario is an “overreaction.” With that, Kerr, at least from his perspective, essentially shuts down the idea of Hill getting traded to the 49ers or to any other team, for that matter.
Hill voiced his displeasure last season in Miami, and has three years remaining on his four-year, $120 million contract. The locker room culture had to affect him, along with the constant inconsistencies of the offense when Tua Tagovailoa was injured. When Tagovailoa plays, Hill is one of the most productive receivers in football — but the 31-year-old Hill can be productive for any team.
Perhaps Hill forces a trade out of Miami at some point, but it won’t be in training camp. The Dolphins are still playoff contenders when their offensive stars are healthy, and this is a make it-or-break it year for Mike McDaniel. They’ll stay the course at the start of the year.
