Arsenal remain keen on a summer deal for Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze, journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed.
The Gunners are now in advanced talks to sign Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, but that is not necessarily going to affect Eze’s chances of becoming an Arsenal player next season.
Romano claims the North London club view Eze’s pursuit as a separate deal from Madueke and not an alternative, with talks ongoing between the two camps over a potential move.
Eze is believed to be keen on a move to the Emirates this summer and remains firmly among the names on the shortlist for sporting director Andrea Berta.

Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, has revealed that Arsenal are continuing discussions with Eze over a potential move and still need to resolve club-to-club talks with Palace:
“Eberechi Eze remains a target for Arsenal. It was almost one week ago when I told you that Arsenal made contact with the agents of Eberechi Eze.
“That remains the case, Arsenal are speaking to the player. The player is keen on a move to Arsenal. So Eberechi Eze remains one of the names on the shortlist.
“Then before closing the deal, obviously, also in this case, you need to talk to Crystal Palace. And that's not an easy point, but for sure, it’s a separate story from Noni Madueke.”
Eze, who joined Palace from QPR in the summer of 2020, has developed into one of the best attacking midfielders in the country during his five seasons at Selhurst Park.
The ‘elite’ 27-year-old made 43 appearances across all competitions last term, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists.
Arsenal have submitted an initial bid worth £50m to Chelsea for Madueke this week and have an agreement in place for the England international to join on a five-year deal.
The Gunners also remain in talks to sign Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres, who is believed to be prioritising a move to North London this summer.
