Chiefs React to Patrick Mahomes' 'Change in Physical Appearance' But We Don't See It

Maybe the Kansas City Chiefs are just trying to teasingly have some fun with "dad bod'' Patrick Mahomes ... but otherwise, we don't get it.

Mahomes is of course coming off yet another successful season with the Chiefs, having led them back to the Super Bowl ... only to fall short in their three-peat bid as they were pounded by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Mahomes has now spoken with humility about shutting up the critics and seeking revenge as he approaches his ninth season in the NFL. But the naysayers won't shut up, most recently with some vocal criticism of his "dad bod.''

This week, the Chiefs took to social media to make note of how time flies as the highlighted a change in Mahomes' appearance from his rookie year.

"Dad bod''-related? Nah.

So what's

"Mind-blowing emoji''-worthy, which is what the Chiefs social media team used to frame his supposed physical transformation in Kansas City? Nah.

Yet here it is, presented as some sort of time warp piece to demonstrate something notable ... that isn't notable at all.

"Year 9 with QB1," posted the official social media account of the Chiefs.

Fun stuff. But we don't see it. What's the "physical transformation''?

He's got a wrinkle or two. His hair is different. In short, he looks like a guy in his early 20's in photo one ... and he looks like a guy in his late 20's in photo two.

Which he was. Which he is.

The truth - and the Chiefs know this - is that Mahomes has led his team to three Super Bowl titles and five AFC titles while being named a two-time MVP ... and at age 29, he's far from done in terms of chasing more.

Mahomes can change his hair. He could even, at some point, change his dad bod. But his pursuit of Chiefs-tied ultimate goals? That will likely never change.
