According to a claim in the Turkish media, Trabzonspor have stepped up in their pursuit of Nice forward Jérémie Boga.
The French club could look to offload the former Chelsea winger this summer and this week he’s been linked with a move to Leeds United.
Takvim report on Trabzonspor’s interest in Boga, and state the Super Lig side are still in transfer talks with Nice.
It’s claimed Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan wants to add the 28-year-old to the squad and is preparing an offer. Takvim state the Trabzon club initially want to loan the left winger, with a compulsory purchase clause in the region of €8m. The player has also been presented with an attractive salary package.
However, they should expect to face competition to sign Boga and again Leeds United are reported as being interested in the Ivorian, along with Sunderland.
Only yesterday we covered reports the Elland Road side had made a move for the attacker and offered €15m. Boga was said to be interested in a return to England following his time at Stamford Bridge and with Birmingham City.
Boga made 24 appearances for Nice last season, scoring two goals. He’s contracted to the Ligue 1 side until June 2027.
