Aaron Cresswell is set to team up with another former Hammer in the Championship next season, KUMB understands.
The 35-year-old defender, who was released by West Ham a fortnight ago upon the expiry of his contract is set to complete a free transfer move to Stoke City - who last week completed the temporary signing of Divin Mubama on a season-long loan from Manchester City.
Cresswell, who was capped on three occasions by England would become the Potters' fourth signing of pre-season following the capture of 20-year-old Mubama, in addition to Sorba Thomas from Huddersfield and central defender Maksym Talovierov.
At Stoke he will also team up with former Hammer Paul Nevin, who worked under David Moyes as a first team coach between 2020 and 2023 and is now assistant manager to Mark Robins.
The Liverpool-born left back made more than 300 appearances for the Hammers during an 11-year spell in east London, having signed from Ipswich Town for just £3.75 million in July 2014.
Conversely Newham-born Mubama made just eight first team appearances for the Irons before moving to Manchester City on a free transfer a year ago next month, having rejected West Ham's offers for a contract extension.
