Alejandro Garnacho’s future as a Manchester United player is very much up in the air this summer.
Pre-season training started at Carrington this week, but Ruben Amorim is still missing a handful of stars from his squad.
Five players were told not to return to training as Manchester United continue to work towards their summer transfers, and Alejandro Garnacho was included in that list.
However, Marcus Rashford returned to Carrington despite being told to find a new club, and Garnacho could also make his return as phase two of pre-season begins on Thursday.
Garnacho was told to find a new club by Amorim following his comments in the Europa League final, so it could make for a frosty reunion at Carrington.

Alejandro Garnacho’s one-word update before Man United return
Garnacho’s social media activity has been a hot topic of conversation this summer, with the young winger heavily criticised online for wearing Rashford’s Aston Villa shirt on an Instagram post.
Ahead of his expected return, Garnacho has taken to Instagram again to issue a one-word update.

A photo of Garnacho asleep on a private jet was posted to his story on Thursday afternoon, with a one-word caption reading: “coming…”.
Garnacho is not expected to go on tour this summer with Amorim prepared to drop him entirely from his squad.
Where will Alejandro Garnacho end up this summer?
Unless there is a sudden U-turn in conversations between Garnacho and Amorim in pre-season, it seems inevitable that the 21-year-old will depart this summer.
Garnacho already appeared an awkward fit for Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system and his poor attitude towards the end of last season clearly frustrated the Portuguese coach.
His comments after the Europa League final were likely the final nail in the coffin, with Garnacho choosing to publicly criticise the team selection.

With the Argentine winger now on the market, Chelsea have shown interest in Garnacho and a potential sale of Noni Madueke could see the Blues progress a deal.
Italian champions Napoli have also shown an interest in Garnacho having had huge success by poaching Scott McTominay last summer.
However, reports suggest Garnacho would prefer to stay in the Premier League, which means fans will likely see him at Old Trafford again next season – just in different colours.
