Former **West Ham** defender Aaron Cresswell is set to join Stoke City on a free [transfer](https://www.claretandhugh.info/west-ham-transfer-news/), it can be revealed.
Details remain limited at this stage, but [Claret & Hugh](https://www.claretandhugh.info/category/news/) have been sent images showing Cresswell completing his media duties in Stoke’s red and white stripes.
The experienced and versatile defender ended last season in fine form and wasn’t short of offers. It’s understood Cresswell held talks with Bristol City while they were still in the Championship play-offs, and had they been promoted to the Premier League, a deal was believed to be on the cards.
Birmingham City were also rumoured to be interested, alongside his former club Ipswich Town, but today Cressie was spotted at Stoke’s Clayton Wood training ground finalising his move and completing all of his official unveiling.
