Everton have recently shown an interest in Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz.
The Brazilian knows the Premier League well from his time with Aston Villa and Everton certainly know all about him.
Luiz joined Juventus for a fee of £42m but it just hasn’t clicked for the 27-year-old in Serie A.
This has led Everton to open talks with Luiz as the midfielder could certainly be leaving this summer.
No doubt the Italian side will want to recoup a decent fee with him only one year into a five-year contract as Juventus have nailed down a new price-tag with Luiz’s priority clear.

Everton target Douglas Luiz has new price-tag with priority clear
If David Moyes and The Friedkin Group pull off a signing like Luiz, they will be lauded upon.
When at Villa, Luiz was the key to Unai Emery’s success, and Moyes will be hoping to replicate this under a new era on the Bramley-Moore Dock.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Everton are desperately searching for a partner to slot alongside Idrissa Gana Gueye, with Hayden Hackney also on Everton’s list.
But there is no denying the Brazilian’s signature will show more ambition, and his true priority has been revealed, with a price tag to match.
The print edition of Corriere Torino (10/07/25) have stated that the new Juventus general manager Damien Comolli is working to move Luiz on.
Juventus want £26m-30m for him which would help them balance the books of his transfer, with it becoming obvious they want him sold.
It’s said that the prospect of a return to the Premier League is currently ‘strongest’ for Luiz and Everton can strike.

How Luiz last fared against Everton gives Moyes his answer
With his Premier League experience, Luiz has played Everton on ten occasions so he’s very well-known.
Evertonians will know enough about the midfielder, but Moyes himself will want to make sure if they spend around £30m on the midfielder that he’s the right buy.
Well, the last time he faced Everton was in a 0-0 draw at Goodison Park, but the Brazilian was a standout with his performance proving he can show up in a nothing game.

To create chances from deep is what Moyes needs in his midfield, as new £27m arrival Thierno Barry needs his ‘food’.
Adding Luiz to their project would take the Toffees up another level and for just £30m seems like a steal.
