Ruben Amorim will have a lot to oversee this summer.

Manchester United will get their pre-season campaign up and running when they face Leeds United in their opening friendly in Stockholm in just over a week's time.

The clash with the Whites will mark the first of five warm up matches head coach will oversee ahead of the season opener against Arsenal at Old Trafford on August 17.

have made two first-team signings so far this summer, drafting in and Diego Leon. The former, who arrived from Wolves after his £62.5million release clause was triggered, was a top target for Amorim and will become a staple in his first-choice starting XI.

A specialist playmaker, Cunha is poised to become United's chief left-sided No.10. It means Bruno Fernandes is set to move into midfield.

Cunha, 26, scored 17 goals in all competitions for Wolves last season, netting 15 of those in the Premier League. He has a proven record in the division and that level of pedigree is something United are targeting in this summer's window.

With the width in Amorim's 3-4-2-1 formation being provided by the wing-backs, Cunha will be expected to operate in central areas and get as close to Rasmus Hojlund, or whoever else may end up spearheading United's attack, in support.

Playing in the left channel, albeit tucked in, Cunha will find himself having to develop a rapport with . The Dane arrived at Old Trafford from Lecce earlier this year and will be hoping to kick on after a first pre-season at United.

Despite producing some up and down performances, you cannot lose sight of the fact Dorgu arrived at Old Trafford as a raw 20-year-old who had never experienced playing for a club of United's stature before. Furthermore, he was thrown straight into the starting XI with the task of operating in one of the most important and demanding positions in Amorim's system.

He was never going to be inch-perfect, especially when walking into a team midway through the season that was struggling. With a full pre-season under his belt, Dorgu has the potential to improve.

He does not turn 21 until October, meaning he is still quite some way from entering a period in his career where he should be described as the finished product. He is learning on the job and his development is in progress.

Expected to remain United's first-choice left wing-back ahead of the upcoming season, Dorgu could find himself working in tandem with Cunha. The pair of them are likely to be tasked with linking up on the left and the former will be expected to provide width and overlapping runs.

The development of their partnership could play a key role in Amorim's masterplan coming to fruition. Both players have been signed to fit his system and are expected to forge long and successful careers at Old Trafford.

United's upcoming pre-season campaign could be the birth of their on-field relationship.
