Ruben Amorim and his men are returning to Carrington as Manchester United prepare for their pre-season tour of the United States, leading into the 2025/26 Premier League season.

After their worst Premier League result on record, coming 15th, falling from their previous worst result on record their year before, finishing 8th, United need to bounce back hard.

This season will be vital for Amorim to buy himself more time at Old Trafford to turn the club around, with INEOS not demanding miracles, but sustainable progress.

As such the club are trying to reinforce Amorim’s squad with new signings as he goes into his first pre-season with The Red Devils.

Now, Manchester United have announced on their official site, the return of eight of their squad to Carrington.

The statement explains that Altay Bayindir, Casemiro, Diogo Dalot, Patrick Dorgu, Bruno Fernandes, Rasmus Hojlund, Chido Obi and Manuel Ugarte all returned to training today, after having extended leave following international duty.

Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes were part of Portugal’s UEFA Nations League winning squad, whilst Rasmus Hojlund and Patrick Dorgu were with Denmark for friendlies against Northern Ireland and Lithuania.

Elsewhere, Altay Bayindir was with the Turkey national squad for friendlies against USA and Mexico.

In South America however, Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte were representing Brazil and Uruguay respectively as the nations aim to book their spots in the 2026 World Cup.

Now all eight are back at Carrington, with full attention from their national clubs, back on their roles at Old Trafford with the collective aim of restoring Manchester United back to it’s former glory.
