Devin Booker signs massive contract extension with Suns

Already the franchise's all-time leading scorer at just 28-years-old, **[Devin Booker](https://247sports.com/Player/Devin-Booker-20574)** is staying in Phoenix. 

The 10-year NBA veteran has agreed to a 2-year maximum contract extension through the 2029-30 season worth $145 million, the highest annual extension in NBA history, according to [Shams Charania of ESPN](https://x.com/ShamsCharania/status/1943114680022581740).

That means Booker, who has already totaled nearly $216 million in career earnings, will have made nearly $400 million by the age of 31. He also signed a 5-year, $158 million max contract extension in 2018 and a 4-year, $220 million extension in 2022.

Booker also holds the Suns' career records for points scored (16,452) and 3-pointers made (1,424). His career scoring average of 24.4 points per game ranks third behind only Kevin Durant and Charlie Scott.

Booker, who helped lead Phoenix to its first NBA Finals appearance in 28 years in 2021, has averaged at least 22 points or better in nine consecutive seasons.

Over 10 NBA seasons, Booker holds career averages of 24.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game while shooting 46.4% from the floor, 35.4% from 3-point range and 87.3% from the free throw line over 673 games with 648 career starts.

A 4-time NBA All-Star and 2-time All-NBA selection, Booker averaged 25.6 points and a career-high 7.1 assists in starting all 75 games in which he appeared. He's also captured a pair of Olympic gold medals with Team USA at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Booker also won the 2018 NBA 3-Point Contest at All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles.

Booker's other career milestones include becoming the youngest player in NBA history to score 70 points in a game and the youngest player in NBA history with consecutive 50-point games 

The No. 13 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Suns, Booker spent one season at Kentucky. In his lone season with the Wildcats in 2014-15, Booker averaged 10.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 21.5 minutes per game over 38 games off the bench. He was named the SEC Sixth Man of the Year while also earning Second Team All-SEC honors as the Wildcats started the season a record 38-0 and reached the Final Four for the fourth time in five seasons.

Coming out of Moss Point (Miss.) High School, the McDonald's All-American was ranked No. 22 overall in the 2014 class by both 247Sports and the industry average 247Sports Composite, choosing Kentucky over Michigan, Michigan State, and Missouri.
