Beckham Black, the No. 19 overall recruit in the national rising junior class, is among the most advanced in his grade when it comes to understanding and processing the game.
A 6-foot-3 floor general who will be attending Orlando (Fla.) Southeastern Prep this upcoming school year, Black is the younger brother of Orlando Magic guard Anthony Black.
He made a significant rise in the national player rankings after impressing this summer with his play on the Nike EYBL Circuit and as a contributor to the USA Basketball U16 gold medal run.
"The experience was great playing with USA Basketball," Black said. "It taught me how to play with great players. I wanted to showcase that I could step up to the occasion and be a leader."
Black has drawn interest from the likes Arkansas, Duke, Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas, USC, Utah, Virginia, and others since the June 15th contact period began.
