Stephe Curry has become one of the greatest NBA players of all time. The Golden State Warriors star has enjoyed an outstanding career with championships, MVP awards and as of last year, an Olympic gold medal.
Curry will go down as one of the greatest of all time, but he's far from the only basketball star in his family. His younger brother Seth is still in the league, and his father Dell was once one of the league's best three-point shooters.
Dell Curry has a new job of his own for the upcoming NBA season, and it's an exciting position for the longtime guard.
According to Front Office Sports, Dell Curry will work as an analyst next season for Amazon Prime Video as it begins its coverage of the NBA.
Amazon and NBC will join ESPN as the league's premier rights partners, signaling the start of a new media rights contract that ends the long-standing relationship with Turner Media and Warner Bros.
Curry has worked as an analyst for the Charlotte Hornets, the team he retired as the all-time leading scorer for.
The former three-point marksman will join an impressive roster as Amazon begins its foray into the NBA next season. Other top names to join Prime include Dwyane Wade, Dirk Nowitzki, Blake Griffin, Steve Nash and Candace Parker.
Taylor Rooks has joined as a studio host, expanding on her role from Amazon's Thursday Night Football during the NFL season. She'll be joined by longtime NBA analysts and commentators like Kevin Harlan and Brent Barry, according to The Athletic.
Dell Curry was a standout at Virginia Tech before being selected with the 15th overall pick in 1986 by the Utah Jazz. Curry would play for Utah as a rookie before moving the Cleveland Cavaliers the following season.
The Cavaliers then left him unprotected in the 1988 expansion draft, and the Hornets took him with their top pick.
Curry played 10 seasons in Charlotte, and remains the franchise leader in games played with 701. He also spent time with the Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors before retiring in 2002.
We'll see what the future holds for Dell Curry as he gets set to begin his national broadcasting career with Amazon.
