Transfer news: Spurs trigger Gibbs-White release clause as Henderson terminates Ajax contract

Jordan Henderson has left Ajax after the club agreed to terminate his contract.
The England midfielder, 35, had a year to run on his deal with the Eredivisie runners-up but a club statement read: "Jordan Henderson is leaving Ajax. The club has cooperated with the player's request to terminate the current employment contract.
"The Englishman's contract with Ajax ran until June 30, 2026, but now ends immediately."
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur have triggered the £60m release clause of Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White. The player is set for a medical at the club this week.
In other transfer news, Arsenal have completed the signing of midfielder Christian Norgaard from Brentford.
The Denmark international, 31, has signed a contract with the Gunners which could run until 2028.
Norgaard's initial expected £10m move to the Emirates Stadium also has the potential for £5m worth of performance-related add-ons.
Norgaard leaves the Bees having made almost 200 appearances since since signing from Fiorentina six years ago, going on to help Thomas Frank's side win promotion to the Premier League in 2021.

Arsenal have already strengthened the squad this summer with the signing of Spain midfielder Martin Zubimendi and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Arsenal are also thought to be closing in on the signing of Sweden striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon.
The 27-year-old is expected to move to the Emirates in a deal which could be worth in the region of £70m.
The club are exploring the possibility of signing Chelsea winger Noni Madueke too. The Blues value the player at around £50m.
Former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has signed a contract with Fiorentina which will mean the Bosnia-Herzegovina captain plays into his 40s.
The 39-year-old's deal runs until June 2026, with an automatic one-year renewal if conditions are met.
Dzeko was most recently at Fenerbahce, where he scored 21 goals in 53 games last season before leaving the Turkish club in May.
